Temple Guard- Citadel In Flames Review

Hard, heavy themes, accompanied by annihilating riffs, foreboding bass tones, and hammering drums, hit with fierce precision. If you’re not radicalised into an environmentally aware, anti-fascist, ski mask-wearing, vegan soldier, then I’m not sure you’re embracing the message of Temple Guard.

New Direction

For the first time in my life, I have direction; hopefully it’s the right direction. Time will tell.

TRUExFeeling- Of Flesh and Steel album review

This is straight edge: a lifestyle, a movement, not a fad or a craze. This is what it means.

Forever straight edge. Forever strong.

Escalate- The Cry Of Nature EP Review

It’s a powerful close to a hard-as-rocks EP. If I wasn’t already vegan, I most certainly would be after this 11-minute onslaught.

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth

When I was younger, that question carried a lot of weight. It turned into pressure, frustration, even a bit of self-loathing at times. I never quite felt good enough, because I was constantly measuring myself against other people’s timelines. I don’t have a career in the traditional sense, or financial security. I don’t own a house or drive a particularly nice car. And, for the most part, I’ve made peace with that — or at least I try to — because I tell myself this simply isn’t my path.

Discipline is self-respect on hard days

In short, my definition of the word discipline is showing up for myself. Keeping the promises I make to myself. If I say I’m getting up at 6 and going for a run, then that’s what I do. No excuses.

5 Yr plan

These words embodied exactly how I felt. I could have written them myself. The song became my mantra for that period of my life. So, I got tattooed — a lot — and started a new band. I also started writing more. I have a degree in journalism; you’d never know it, because I’ve done fuck all with it. It’s been nearly five years since I got that degree. It feels like a lifetime ago.

Fuck the economy, get a tattoo

I can’t think of a better way to show your ethics, beliefs, culture, and individuality, than to literally wear it on your skin. My tattoos are a scrapbook of my life — the influential people I’ve met along the way, the shit I’ve been through, the moments that shaped me.

Mala daydreaming

Looking back now, it’s obvious this was more than just a child’s overactive imagination. It was a coping mechanism, a sanctuary, a way to navigate emotions I didn’t yet have the language for. I didn’t know it at the time, but this habit—would eventually grow legs of its own.

PMA in full effect 5 of the best from H20

Hardcore is a way of life. Not a sound, or a look. To me, it’s always been about how you feel inside. H20 embody that ethos!

ESUS- Identity Woven

ESUS is rooted in the raw energy of street style, the defiant spirit of hardcore music, and the fearless creativity of skateboarding. A symbol of those who carve their own path, reject the ordinary, and move with purpose. Self Possessed. Confident, unapologetic, and in control.

Stream of consciousness

Most of the time, I don’t even know what to write about. There’s so much happening—both around me and in the wider world—that it’s overwhelming. Constant sensory overload, with no idea what to do with all the information being thrown at me

A touch of the tism

I’m still figuring it out. My recent autism diagnosis hasn’t solved everything, but it’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders. It’s helped me make sense of years of confusion, self-doubt, and exhaustion. And maybe most importantly, it’s encouraged me to be gentler with myself.

One's to many 100 isn't enough.

Drinking every weekend quickly spiralled into drinking on weekdays, too, often skipping college to skate and get drunk with friends. What started as harmless teenage rebellion morphed into a coping mechanism—a way to navigate the awkward chaos of coexisting with my fellow teens. It became *my thing.*

Beyond the Finish Line: The True Motivation Behind My Runs

The epiphany hit hard – what if running was the antidote to my struggles? The idea of training for the London Marathon emerged as a potentially life-altering journey. I conjured up the iconic montage from Rocky 2, envisioning myself as the gritty protagonist, pounding the pavement as Rocky and the triumphant contender crossing the finish line of the greatest race on Earth.

Cerebral Circus will almost certainly elevate them to the next level of Hardcore prestige. The greatest compliment I can pay this body of work is that listening to Cerebral Circus is 22 minutes of my life well spent.
